In my seventh-grade biology class, I found out that I inherited just about every recessive gene trait possible: left-handed, widow’s peak (well, you could tell when I had hair), that weird thing with the tongue, and being color-blind. (I don’t think being a Scorpio is a recessive gene trait, but I could be wrong.)
So I’m working under the assumption that I’ve got a fancy new WordPress-styled layout in shades of gray and black and toxic green, and I’m hoping that somebody might please let me know if I’m horribly, embarassingly wrong; if it all looks, like, brown. Or purple.
Or, you know, if it clashes with what you’re wearing.
That Recessive Trait
The template looks fine, but you need to update your blogroll to point to Cindy’s new blog.
It looks great. (Yes, clancy’s right about updating to cindy’s new site.) I like the top: it’s black. The right side-bar looks like a portion of what was formerly part of your old sidebar. I don’t know if that’s intentional or not.
Also, I don’t know what your idea of toxic green is but I don’t figure it matters. I see it as much more a verdant. So if you want to go toxic, you may look for a darker green.
I like the green, but I’ll agree with Mike’s “toxic green” assessment.
It’s looking much better, Mike. It’s toxic green, all right. The only thing that sort of clashes for me are the bright orange post titles. I’d tone them down a little, but that is just my taste (my sig other loves orange and I hate it and we argue about it regularly :-)).
Blogroll update on the way, and thanks, all, for the feedback. (Note to self: apparently, there’s a shade of orange that looks a lot like green to me.)

Oh, I see now Clancy. I didn’t know what he meant by toxic and was thinking dark and murky green instead of toxic/nuclear, associating brighter. Der!
Does WordPress not ping? Because you don’t ping anymore, and I didn’t come here and look at everything I missed! And you! I missed you!
Also, if you’re viewing the page in Evil IE the green picture-thing is down on the lower right-hand corner and half off the page. But everything else looks great.
Huh. I checked it in MSIE 5.5 Mac and 6.0 Windows and the picture seemed to position OK, even though IE is completely stupid about the CSS box model. (My CSS even validates! Woohoo!) Which version of IE are you using?
Thanks for the heads up on the pings thing, though. I’ll have to look into that.
